Separate the flexible mattress from the folding frame and contain any loose hardware. Start with the object, then follow its complete path to the truck.
Clear the futon completely
Remove bedding, covers, storage items, and anything caught in the hinge area. Keep children and pets away from a folding frame while it is being inspected or moved.
Describe how the frame behaves
Tell the hauler whether the frame opens and closes normally, is stuck, or has a broken hinge. A damaged frame can shift unexpectedly and should not be forced.
Measure the rigid parts
Once the mattress is separate, measure the longest frame section and the narrowest doorway. Check whether arms, legs, or back panels detach without cutting or repair work.
